Life's good!

Waw...These past few weeks have been amazing! The sun had a lot to do with it, but it just seems that both the times off and on the bike have been véry enjoyable.  Every Saturday I did at least a 250K ride, and this past Saturday (Liege Bastogne Liege) was truly unforgettable. A great atmosphere, a very homogenic group to start with, great wheather, a nice (first) meet-up with Phil, Ben & Anton, a good feeling on the bike,...

But of course this past long Easter weekend had room for plenty more...

For those of you interested, here's the link to what was definitely one of THE best rides of the year...

and this one wasn't bad either;-)

I'm finally starting to feel ready to tackle my series of sportives (Every weekend in June). Oh, btw, I found out that if I had ridden 10 minutes faster on last year's 3 ballons, I would've been top 100. A big leap forward, but not impossible I think... I'm definitely going to go all out!

And here's how Ben's English friends will remember Liège (on our way to the mythical Saint Nicolas, in what's without a doubt the city's worst neighbourhood):

Tour of Flanders...

was great! The ride I needed to upgrady my form. Knee trouble appear to be behind me as well. Went to the knee specialist today, appearently it was a cartilladge problem, but nothing serious nor potentially damaging in the long run. Bur rest is the only remedy...

Below are my pics from last Saturday. Much respect to Steven & Wouter, who decided to go for a record 350K ride (Ghent - Bruges - Tour of Flanders - Back home). 250K was enough for me:-). The numbers showed that I'm more or less in the same shape as last year.

Just back from the Wednesday ride (high pace)now, went alright, but I feel I'm not 100% recovered from Saturday. Next big training ride on Saturday, rest is what I need in what's left of the week!
